Refund policy

At ShadeCort, we are committed to helping you achieve the perfect darkness for your space. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, please contact us at info@shadecort.com.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Manufacturing defects are covered by our 100% quality guarantee.


Custom Products — Important Notice

Our blackout blinds are custom-made to your exact measurements. Because each order is crafted specifically for your window, custom products cannot be fully refunded unless there is a manufacturing defect or quality issue.

If you request a return due to:

  • Change of mind / you no longer want the product.

  • Incorrect measurements provided by the customer.

  • Product not fitting due to customer measurement error.

  • The product being “not suitable” due to personal preference.

→ The order cannot be refunded in full. We will deduct:

  1. The product fabrication cost.

  2. The original shipping cost.

  3. The return shipping cost (return shipping is the customer’s responsibility).

Only the remaining balance (if any) will be refunded.


Before You Order

Because our products are custom-sized, we strongly recommend taking the following steps to ensure a perfect fit and avoid unnecessary loss:

  • Booking a free measurement consultation with our team.

  • Contacting us at support@shadecort.com before checkout if you have any doubts about your window size.


Exchanges

For custom items, exchanges are treated the same as returns. If you need a different size due to an ordering error, please contact us and we may offer a remake quote at a discounted price to help you get the right fit.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order is shipped to the EU, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. However, please be advised that custom-made products are exempt from this right under EU law unless there is a quality issue.


Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@shadecort.com.
